The work of Open Up seeks to reveal our shadow and bring understanding to the inner dimensions of change and healing, that doesn't come easy. When we open up, we dial up the volume of both the positive and the negative about ourselves. We can't exclude one from the other.

Documentary “The Century of Self” is a 2002 British television documentary series by filmmaker Adam Curtis. It focuses on the work of psychoanalysts Sigmund Freud and Anna Freud, and PR consultant Edward Bernays. It is very relevant today, as it gives an insight into the manipulation that is still going on by politicians, businesses and advertising. It shows how the masses are still incapable of rational thought when it comes to voting for the best person to be elected.
Film “HyperNormalisation” is an epic story by Adam Curtis of how we got to this strange place where events keep happening that seem inexplicable and out of control - and those in power have no idea what to do. It shows that what has happened is that all of us in the West - not just the politicians and the journalists and the experts, but we ourselves - have retreated into a simplified, and often completely fake version of the world. But because it is all around us we accept it as normal.
