What if the next wave of activism was powered by dreams?
Where go we now?
It is a long-term invitation to wander beyond the edges of what we know. I'm seeding another idea to cultivate the poetry of relationships, the active agency through states of consciousness and Dream states into our conversations and practice. A place for breathing as poetic therapy which is more than bringing our attention to the cycles and rhythm of life. It's has to do with remembering life through learning from what ís alive with the beautiful possibility to go blank. A delicate seedling through the tender spaces where consciousness and dreams meet.
We all digest our experiences in different ways and those experiences often come wrapped in questions—questions that ask us not for answers, but for a willingness to wander with them, to stay open to engage with the more audible, the more seeable, the more sense-able, the more intuitive in us. These questions, these experiences—they form a poetic relationship with the available and the unforeseen. They shape our world in ways that defy logic, that stretch the boundaries of what we think is possible. This is the quiet revolution, the slow dance of guiding humans into a more connected world, where normalizing non-ordinary states of consciousness becomes a radical act of healing.
In groups, in organizations, or 1:1, we step out of the frantic 'now' that demands immediate action, the 'now' that pressures us to know, to change, to do something right this second. The societal thirst for this 'now' is palpable, a constant pressure that many of us feel as a weight, a state of overwhelm. But we are not machines. We are dreamers, wanderers, beings who need deep time, dreamtime, relational time so we can feel better into what rupture offers - what instability gives and grows.
What if the next wave of activism was powered by dreams?
Dreams that do not conform to the linearity of time or the rigidity of logic, but instead move like water, like wind, shaping the world in ways we have yet to imagine. I'm seeking a cultural space for it where we can explore more the seen and unseen of our lived-dream, our alive dream - and stories. To open up into new relational spaces where major gifts can be applied in a practical sense to the global problems that press upon us. A relational interaction with life that is also a somatic dialogue with places that have no address yet, but join us in every breath.
